Four wine cellars of the DOQ Priorat opt to convert their products to "vins de finca"
The wine cellars Clos Mogador and Álvaro Palacios (Gratallops), Pasanau Germans (La Morera del Montsant) and Mas Martinet (Falset) have solicited to the Generalitat de Catalunya that the wines they elaborate could be denominated "vins de finca". The wines that opt to this category, the prices of wich oscillate between 25 and 60€, are Clos Dofí (Álvaro Palacios), Pasanau, Clos Mogador and Mas Martinet.
The cataloguing of these products as "vins de finca", category that appears the first time in the law of wine aproved in Spain, is a strategy of differentiation that some french wine cellars used yet to increment the appreciation of their wines.
