- Garnatxa negra: It easily grows under difficult conditions and can resist drought. Its grapes (bunches) are middle size but quite compact. It makes aromatic fullbodied wine which has a high alcoholic degree as well. It can be mixed and is excellent to make rosé wine.
- Ull de llebre: It is also known as “Tempranilloâ€, the stock has large pentagonal leaves. It can be planted almost in all sort of soils, better in sunny places. Its bunches are long and compact with round fleshy grapes. This type of wine is light coloured and balanced. Its acidity and degree is moderate. Some wines are lightly fruity, they have a blackberry flavour. They are usually young and have a short aging.
- Carinyena: Like “Ull de llebre†it has large leaves. It is also known as “Samsóâ€, It has been labelled with this name. It has middle sized conical bunches. The wines made from Carinyena are astringent and rich in tannin. They have a good alcoholic degree and are colourful and fullbodied.
- Cabernet sauvignon: This type of stock comes from Bordeux (France), It is not productive. The grapes are small and round but it is thought to be the best red wine. It is very rich in tannin and has a high (good) degree. The young wines are astringent. This feature lessens when aging; in the end, they become tasty, balanced and aromatic.
- Merlot: This stock also comes frome France. It has middle sized blueblack bunches. Wine is fruity and well qualified. Merlot ages faster than Cabernet and it has peculiar features.
- Syrah: It is a typical variety from the Roine Valley (France). It has pentagonal leaves and middle sized bunches. Grapes have a thin skin and juicy flesh. It is much valued to be mixed.
